an answer to windows warnings for upgrades

Hi all.
Usually I push a slandering rant but not for this post.
Microsoft has put out warnings on windows 10 end of support and a few articles have pushed people usage of win10 at 53%.
So I thought with all the stuff thats going about I’d push out a rebuttle and explainer to all this stuff to microsoft.

Well ms you guys really want us to go to 11.
Lets cut out the tacks.
You guys have tried to reinvent the wheel yet again.
Maybe you guys have obligations with corperations and businesses but I feel you have really pushed yourself yet again with features and such us users don’t need or at least don’t want with how you have done it.
Firstly lets face it, you guys have had a really low track reccord where updates are concerned with all the crashes and bugs that I think should have been resolved before production.

The next thing has to have a warning on it.
I am not yet an ai user at least I don’t use it fully just yet.
That doesn’t mean that I won’t get assimilated but right now I haven’t found any reason to take the ultimate upgrade so with this take it as you will.
I do enjoy your autopilot thing, but not in my face.
I don’t want your dedicated key, I’d like it off.
I do appreciate the fact you put the windows key combo back and I appreciate the voice but I’d really like to put the envoke word to a custom word I’d type in.
I’d like to call my ai assistant computer or at least personalise its name for myself especially if I have several systems potentially.

Next bitlocker.
I don’t know anyone that would allow creation and encryption of their os drive etc.
I think its usefull where it comes to corperations but I see no reason as a home user to do this.
In fact I have had issues with systems well 1 system that had a failure and their drive was encrypted without their knowing and thats another thing.
Why are you not allowing our user to choose what we do.

I for one wouldn’t choose to encrypt my data at all on system setup.
Next is ms account.
Ok I understand you guys want to use your services, however for me the appeal to that ended when you discontinued your mp3 music digital download service.
I could have spent reasonably and proffited a lot from the music on my player.
Granted no drm but that wasn’t a problem for me as I liked it.
I do have a few games and I would like more accessible games as a visually impaired person but thats by the wayside.
I see no reason to login to my system over the net, what if the net failed.
Security and intergration with a 360 sub and a few other things may be fine I guess and a keyword to.
However I still don’t agree with logging to your system as soon as you startup.
After you start maybe but still.
I think users should have the choice and be able to find it to.

Automatic choices are being made for users and it would be nice if we had the choice to do it later or not at all.
Also you do we have to make the choice at setup.
We should setup minimally then set what we need.
Now once we go online for the first time, by all means notify us or whatever or have it in the system trey to finnish setup.
Are you scared we won’t?
I always setup my options, sadly most of the time I have been removing stuff I don’t want.
Next, in 10 there are panels for notifications, the task bar and the start,.
There are no notifications that I have switched and the bars are not labeled like 10 so I have to know that I moved to each panel.
Luckilly I am a 10 user so am aware.
Next is the notification about all programs in the system trey notification area, you got rid of it from control panel/settings.
Yes I can get it back with a little hack but really I see no reason or justification to remove the show all notifications in the trey like I always had them.
Next the side scroling menus, why do you hide most of the menu it makes no sence.
I can hack it and have got used to the feature but why is that like that, again no reason.
Next search, it works but really in 10 when I searched I used to be able to type whatever and it would appear, the search doesn’t always do it and it feels clunkey and well just strange.
Maybe its something to get used to but I shouldn’t need to do that.
Next background apps.
I see no reason for you guys to remove the feature in 10 to display all the background apps in one place and now I need to do each app.
No doubt more secure but its time consuming to have to scroll down.
Now there are ways round it but I shouldn’t have to patch the shell, edit the registry or even hack and crack the os for me to use it!
After all I own the coppy on my system and I feel I am losing control to be blunt.
I realise windows is an online system but if you have a laptop you will sometimes use it offline.
What the use is windows11 if most of it will only function with a stable network!
Stable should be circled to.
What are laptops for is another question?
I don’t think win11 is really that usefull right now.
I updated my win10 desktop 10th gen cpu to 11 and removed all the background and system components from start, disabled recall which I don’t think is that secure and anyway I see no reason to use it, and on and on.
Point is I feel things are just getting stranger and stranger.
Anyway with all the ggoings on with how advanced ai is and how we should be secure with it, I wouldn’t have it all over the os and all of these extras.
Now I was born before the net existed so I may be biassed.
But with ai, the ms accounts, most of the modern features, I didn’t need them before and I shure as jesus don’t need them now.

That doesn’t mean I won’t in the future but right now I view every microsoft adaption and update as a potential danger.
Seriously, you guys have feedback, supposedly good support but who knows, and insiders, yet you seem to have something that will potentailly fuck something up to someone each month.
Now as a tester, bugs and fuckups are my income and without those I and others of my type wouldn’t exist but at the same time us users want our lives and our systems.
Its fair enough to ask why we are not updating 10.
I suggest you look at your code on 10 and decide what 11 has and 10 hasn’t.
10 has everything, no ai, no extras, its just a system that works.
Its friendly to all for the most part.
It doesn’t have its bells and whistles.
But you want to upgrade it to the latest and greatest.
Ok look, remove your microsoft account, your microsoft bits and bobs, your licencing, your everything and just post a version for home users without your extra business features if you must to your github and let us users that at least want something to use to do that.
Or get into the linux market and have a version for home and a pro for home, even charge for pro for home if you must and you business monsters can have your ship and do what you want.
Cut us free and let us go our own way.
We don’t want anything bad to happen to you, I mean if you fall so do we but we want indipendance from your collective so you can go your own way.
But if not, we will continue best we can.
Note this is me trying to be nice.
Be warned though that I will be back to my waring self after that but I felt I’d try to give ms a chance.
If anyone on here is part of ms, maybe you can foreward this thing to your bosses and see what you guys can do.
We users just want control and have things not thrown in our faces.
Thanks
