In the early days of Crypto Currency, there was a darknet marketplace called the Silk Road. It was taken down, and then a second version was created. You can search out silk road, and find articles.
I don’t remember how long the two versions of this marketplace ran, but the first person thought he could not get caught.
Fastforward many years later and after the second perp of the silk road was arrested comes a new marketplace being taken down this month called Archetyp Marketplace.
While I’ve watched some shows on networks where people are caught bringing drugs in to specific countries including the U.S., the darknet places like this make it easy to get things baught.
At least $289 million in crypto currency was spent, and they claim it was about $250m€ (euros) which is still a lot of money.
