editorial: windows 11 for this week

Hi all.
For once in my news dump I found little to put here.
I know there will be probably an update dump but lets see what is in the bag.
From end of last week.
Ms has a new start menu, true you can’t modify the catigories right now but that may appear later we hope.
Windows users at least another million or so have switched to 11.
The source I got it from is a good thing, but its more likely that they feel there is no way out.
I am still not convinced.
Next is windows reducing system restore points from 3 to 2 months.
I don’t see any real issue as every time I make a system update, program update or modification within reason I make one and clear the rest.
I only have 1 or 2 points active at one time.
The only times I don’t are
1. nvda addon updates as they are not effected during restores.
2. ms store apps to an extent as all that happens is the things will error out and I have to reupdate though I try to make one if there are other changes.
At this time I’d like to acknowledgemy highschool friend robert to the blog.

Firefox 140 esr has just gone golden as of today.
Thunderbird shouldn’t be far off.
Codecguide and chrome will probably have updates, adobe has just a release but who knows.
Zoom updated and dropbox hasn’t had a build for a bit so that may be in the works.
Everything seems to be moving nicely along offline though not as smoothly as I’d like.
See my personal blog for that story.
Anyway thats probably it till next time.
Please note there is probably an office and standard windows update run, that may or may not generate news.
Technically I will only post if it generates enough flack I think it needed.
Laters all.
