Online portal exposed car info

My cursor came across another malwarebytes newsletter, and the top story talks about cars and how one car manufacturer had at one point, a flaw that allowed anyone to get info about any car and possibly do something with the car although the researcher did not do this.

The name of the manufacturer was not given, and I bet this could happen to anyone these days the way breaches are going these days.

If you have a car, better take a look at this: Online portal exposed car and personal data, allowed anyone to remotely unlock cars.

While personal data could be accessed, its probably your typical data that cars might have like where you’ve been, milage data and more.

The article goes in to much more detail, so pay attention if this applies.

Its a bit backdated, but still within August.
