IC3 getting targeted again

The final piece of this week’s newsletter talks about the IC3, The U.S. arm of reporting Cybercrime.

The Ic3 site is ic3.gov with the .gov standing for Government within the TLD relm.

Anyone telling you to go elsewhere, especially in the United States is wrong.

Could there be other IC3 sites in other jurisdictions to report crime in your country? Sure, but try IC3 plus your country code first like ic3.co.uk or ic3.gov.uk or something depending on how the government sets up these things in your country.

There is a Washington phone number for the FBI at the bottom of the page, but no other contact info is given.

Read Scammers are impersonating the FBI to steal your personal data for full details on this one. We don’t want people getting caught up in this one.
