I don’t know if we’ve talked about this before, but there is a company called Allianz which is now coming out to say that roughly 1.5 million (or 1,471,000 plus) people were pilfered within their life insurance division.
The Innitial reports indicate that this may be most of their customers, and I’m the one that is writing most, not the article itself.
The other thing not confirmed is that they could possibly be swept up as well in the Salesforce fiasco we’ve been talking about now for some time.
We know that the shiny hunter threat actors are the ones supposedly responsible for that one, and it won’t surprise me if this new shiny thing I blogged about earlier takes off like this group did.
The article talks about Have I Been Pwned and their findings of 1.1 million, so for it to go up a few thousand isn’t necessarily surprising me any.
Want to read more about this? Allianz Life says July data breach impacts 1.5 million people will be your article.
I just don’t remember where this agency is based, but the article says its in the U.S.
Have fun with this one.
