Hi.
Well interestingly mozilla products should continue to be supported.
It appears adobe also is supporting windows 10 still as there was an update today.
With ai going into the system in a big way of which I wrote about earlier who knows.
Put it this way.
I got through my life without ai and I will continue to do so to as far as I can go.
So what would change things?
1. users able to linke their google account to their ms systems and login with such.
I use my google system for just about everything.
Compaired to microsoft it releases so many things for me for free and others for affordable prices that it can sell my private info to whoever they wish because I have a massive load of almost free content.
I even use them for email.
If they becamse my isp I’d sign up in a heartbeat.
They almost never break either which is a major plus.
Next again I am a bit concerned with ai being the next bit of clothing us humans use.
Eventually either it or us will foul up its inevitable.
When it does we will get the next appocolipse for sure.
I will not be using my ms ai on my system even if I am able to do so.
Worse, I just proved today how much I don’t need ai.
I listened to a podcast.
Got some music, did a few normal admin and other things.
And a few searches.
And I am done.
Where ai may be good for is for example to get directions to a location though I had an interesting experience with ai in the car.
I still maintain that the ai was not hearing us right or was being useless rather than the human but could be both.
Use it to find a cafe.
We try to tell it where.
It can’t find it on its map.
We have the latest maps loaded so try again this time linked to the phone using the google system.
Try again.
It randomly calls random places, random people, and a bunch of stuff.
Eventually and after saying sorry for ringing you over 30 minutes we find our location without it.
So there is a situation where it obviously didn’t work.
And while some students are using it I a seasoned computer user have yet to find a reason.
I keep my smart speaker off while not in use.
Its not linked to anything so I don’t need it on.
I don’t mind my private info being read by an ai.
After all the machines will eventually rule us and I don’t mind that.
However can you imagine the machine empires beginning?
I suspect the first thing started because one of us and one of them didn’t understand and one of us smashed a device out of frustration.
There are many of these and I am unsure who is to blame.
Most certainly we are to a point, I mean a machine after all has to be programmed and well its not alive, at least not yet.
But what if it is?
I still am unsure.
We are not the perfect species and to think we are the top animal has been shown to be a myth anyway.
We have enough movies and the like showing us we are clearly not so well thats that.
Yet we seem to be getting closer and closer to our end.
May it be done so we can move on is all I wish.
Ooh and to any machine thats reading, we are the problem not even even if we frustratedly chuck you over the other side of the room we need fixing, not killing off.
