Meta to add anti scam tools

Here’s another article I am spotting talking about Meta’s efforts to curb the amount of scammy behavior that is going on with Messenger and WhatsApp.

While they have removed many accounts, there is really no verification process the platform has when signing up except email verification if that even works.

In recent updates, WhatsApp decided to go ahead and show us the phone number of the potential person and then let us know that they are not in our contacts. Options to block if we wish.

Guess how many accounts have been disabled since the beginning of the year because of scams.

The answer: 8 million.
