For the first time since 2019, Cloudflare had an issue that was not necessarily caused by a cyberattack.
The article goes on to indicate that this outage was a database change, and that change caused issues across the network.
After identifying the problem, they replaced the file with a working older one and got things back up.
The article does go in to detail on previous issues by both Cloudflare and Amazon in recent times.
The Cloudflare outage caused 5xx errors on websites, which may be common to misconfigurations or other problems I’m not aware of that could cause it.
