Hi all.
Was not expecting anything this week but there still is.
1. zoom has an update as does chrome.
I am unsure but expect edge to follow.
There were some last minute releases from intel and lenovo but they must have been internal system components as they didn’t need things to reboot after they downloaded and were part of windows updates themselves.
They also didn’t generate any device driver temp files which makes me think these maybe enablers for other things already active.
Windows is beginning a switch over for apps and other things running updates within windows update.
Sadly it appears the app deployment service has a huge system hogging issue.
The module called appsvc or app svc is set to automatic in the latest services update dumping on systems.
It will work for automating various things however on low powered systems especially those that have low power, the system is known to eat up cpu and memmory at times.
It used to be manually activated.
Luckilly if you have a problem you can probably reset it to manual like it used to be but who knows.
Microsoft needs to fix its bugs.
Its sending a message that everyone needs to have a high grade cpu to use windows 11 and higher.
And loads of ram.
If microsoft wants to pull more 10 users they are not doing any favors by doing this.
On the other hand all the updates in 1 hub will be good.
Version 26h1 is in general inside tests and many features are already making it, though most of us won’t probably see that update as its meant for certain systems aparently anyway.
No other updates were released, though expect an edge chromium update later in the week.
Also welcome abord david if you are reading this then I enjoyed conversing with you on support helpdesk issues and the like.
There probably won’t be any more this week.
Happy christmas to all the blog.
