the shitty net and ai in supermarkets?

Firstly this article peaked my interest on the local news.

So the basic premis is that with all the social media and musk trump, etc everything has corrupted and we need to find a way out.
The article states we need to move back to before 2000 where things were good.

While I agree that we are in a bit of a corperate corrupted sector there are probably ways out of it.
We need a reason to do it.
The article states that the law needs to change.
I agree but will it help?
We all know the corperations get a lot of bs from eachother, governments and other things.
Trump corp is the us government right now.
Splitting companies.
Again, I don’t know.
Yes all those adds and the like but think before you leap.
If google didn’t exist we would lose.
Open login so I can’t use my google account accross platforms and websites.
There is probably an add issue with this and security but fuck it if I don’t enjoy the convenience I fully admit having google open id has saved my nuts multiple times over with needing accounts for multiple sites.
Next is social networks.
Truth is I don’t know.
Why were they started in the first place?
Before 2000 we didn’t have those.
But would you shut them down.
True, the villons use them but so do they do the same with other areas of the universe there will always be bad and evil like binary there are 0s and 1s.
We need both to survive and cutting 1 out will screw it over.
You can be wanting to be great you actually become the bad guy.
Things go up and down all the time.
Next like it or not the reason we as a people in general are not completely fucked is that the corperations don’t concidder indeviduals anything but be crushed underfoot they actually battle eachother.
What would happen if they really were paying attention.
I don’t care for the system and maybe one day we will rize up and nuke the fucking bastardial cunts but not now, not yet maybe we may never do so.
Thing is, if we do, what is going to stop us becoming what we were trying to destroy?
I’m not saying let em live but neither am I saying kill em all either.
We need them and they need us to survive.

Next, so we manage to go back to the good network.
Taking this literally no ai.
Ok but again with the corperations we need a middle ground.
Yes good and evil, 0s and 1s.
We can’t live with either.
Get rid of the evil and become good the good will become evil.
Get rid of the good and evil dominates and will cancel itself out.
Eventually take 1 away and 0 is all you have left.
Take 0 away and eventually 1 will have to reballence.
I’ve watched the movie barbey and well a perfect world.
Thats nice, but you would get bored in it surely.
You can’t have good all the time and or evil it needs to ballence and that is the challenge.
Next down the line.
Suppose we did sort out social networks and ai, before 2000 we didn’t have the advanced computers we have.
Ok cutting out windows 11 and its disaster, windows me and its disaster and windows 8 the last system we have is windows 98.
Personally I love and hate bits of the system in equal measure.
Some of the apps and webview.
Ai and its implimentation certainly a dislike.
Modern menus and desktops and a few things like this, certainly enjoy it.
Using an account to login no but integrated features, es.
Having ai pushed on us, no but ai in general yes.
Lets face it windows 9x was a modified dos shell at the best.

Ok take it further say we are happy with all this.
Wireless and fibre internet.
That wouldn’t exist either.
True we wouldn’t need it as there wouldn’t be any streaming services, cloud internet etc but unless you lived in a universe of arcade gaming machines and one probably does exist I don’t see a future like this.
And on the other side we had monopolies back in the day its just the way some of this roles and well we can’t always have our way.
Anyway rules won’t change it.

The question is then, if we cut everything back threw out all the world’s issues and lived within our country would we be better off or not.
Would we also cut out international news, weather etc and be stuck in an isolationist mess.
In the beginning maybe we would be ok but that can also fail.
Nothing is perfect either and I believe we need to realise that.
We will never have a perfect middle area either and that in itself is what makes life interesting.
If we knew what was going to happen all the time life itself would be pointless.
So whats happening then?
Not sure how it started or when it did maybe in the 1950s who knows.
Point is that for some time we have been pulling power in massively.
Its worked for a reasonable portion of us and others not so much.
Good and evil have enjoyed the power on either side of the devide but now we are getting to much.
Ballence is breaking down.
Look at the un, the world trade org, world helth, nato, and other organisations that were made after world war 2.
There are issues with all of them and no wish to really change them on account because some with power would lose it.
In the last big battle we had america, england, and most of europe.
Bits are breaking off in europe.
England is in a down curve, and the biggest wall the us is unstable and not exactly trustable and things will get worse before its better.
We have the east our bit of the conflict started because of oil and our going over there has partly caused the drama that exists.
It would have gone on reguardless and we had no reason to get involved.
Next is israil which existed before jesus and again we had no reason to even try to interveen.
Then we have russia which has been a love hate relation ship since world war 2 and the cuban missile disaster possibility in the 1960s.
The last empire is china and while I don’t care for comunism they are the biggest empire still standing right now and in the next war we have to assume the us the largest power we have is no longer in the game for anything bar itself.
With the net again we have created a lot of content and some of it is not good but then if I get a gun and shoot you is the gun maker liable for your murder?
Thats something we forget.
We are all liable for everything we do on and offline.
The net is a mirror of our world to a point.
Could we go back?
By the end of this century I don’t believe we will be able to but would you turn off your laptop and smash it with your car.
Would you do the same with your phone?
Would you then live away from everyone and not listen to the news because it was evil.
Its easy to blame someone, or something or an era in time especially since you know the likely hood of it fighting back is unlikely.
We need the evil corperation bastards.
We could kill them but then how would we get our goods or computers or anything to survive and enjoy the connected lifestyles we do enjoy.
Pluss even if we did kill them more would appear and some of those guys started for markets and became bigger and bigger and thats what business is.
It can be a problem but it can also do good to.
They could nuke us but then without anyone to buy their stuff they would also doom themselves to death.
Either side may not agree with eachother but in the end everyone needs everyone else to survive.
Would I say we don’t need social networks?
Well the same is with ai, the same is with anything.
Again with the gun, if I used it to instead of killing you to shoot my own food I am using it for a good cause.
Everything can be used for good and bad.
If we got rid of one of these we would eventually need the other.
Kill evil and our good would become evil with a repeating cycle.
Absolute power isn’t really where you want because to much and you explode and burn.
Not enough and you want more.
Another thing, have you thought about the grass being greener on the otherside even though you get there and itsgrass?
We are always dreaming about the future and so on and on.
I for example dream about making contact with aliens.
However I know the dream is probably the reason I wander at it.
Would I really want to turn my dream into reality.
Maybe I would but then would I really want to.
I know thats a dream or out of reach for now which is why I dream of it.
The dream and the fact I know I am safe here without any real hope of that becoming a reality is probably a major part why I want to believe it could be true and could happen.
But would I want it to happen possibly not exactly.
Would I like the net to return to the good times before things went bad?
Yes, but would I abandon my cloud email, cloud storage, the idea of ai, streaming platforms, and some of the intergrations even with the scamms, adds, and various evils? the answer is no.
I suspect though we need to need to reset and find a middle ground like with ai we are moving way to fast before we know our limits.
What happens after we meet those and break them, will they bounce back and break us.
Eventually yes.
What do we do about it.
Look life aint good or evil, we need both jesus and saten to exist.
We need both heaven and hell to exist and find the middle ground which is difficult because having more is onething to strive towards.
So while I don’t agree with the way the net has gone neither do I want to return to a time before it went the way it is now.
The middle road we had is gone now so we need to create another one.
Sadly thats not our generation, including me.
As is seaid in babylon5, its time for the old races to make way for the new ones.
Eventually we will find a middle road its not going to be easy but then nothing is.
And if we don’t?
Well evil and good can’t go high or low before a natural reset appears.
The world is building up to one of these resets, be it covid, world war3 or whatever, each disaster is the universal pc trying to reset things to a middle location.
So will we continue or will we try to upgrade and reset.
Do we want to?
Who knows.
I am an old generation and really have no opinion either way.
