bugs in the house

Hi all.
If you like me have been following the tech drama of late you will notice microsoft has a load of bugs in the january 2026 update.
Some have been fixed with out of band updates but there are others.
For those on office you will have noticed updates to fix hanging and other issues with outlook.
There maybe more to get released as of today but thats going on.
Its not hit my win11 system but on 10 I got at least 30 apps updating and that maybe coming on 11 to.
This is because there have been a lot of broken applications due to the update.
Next dropbox 240 is out with a exit warning message which can be usefull if you hit the exit option in the menu by mistake.
Next, amd has fixed their website so that us users on firefox can accessibly get things again with nvda so thats good, we don’t need chrome.
Amd also has the 26.1.1 version of their drivers for their systems.
In some cases you can load ai support for things that have it.
For those using the older vega standard you will have to install the drivers from the downloadable online updater.
A note that at some point in installing some bits of the sound drivers I noticed the amd driver fail out but the main stuff was loaded and everything started fine and there wasn’t any issue.
Its actually great amd have decided to update the old 2000 series chips again as they said they were not going to do so anymore.
So while I wouldn’t take this as a possible continuation of support it does mean that once again we have caught up to the latest modules again.

I do wish they brought the combined rdna and vega downloaders back so we don’t have to install the primary module that loads everything as I never know what I am exactly loading but its handled.
A note that you should clear the 2 and a half gb of device manager stuff on running disk cleanup in admin after you reboot and clear the 2 tasks and extra stuff you don’t want running before you reboot.
There are even articles wandering if windows 11 is worth saving with the ai and all the other things going on with it.
I personally agree with the author of that article.
However we are so far into the matrix that to declair it invalid will cause serious dammage and right now with all that is going on we can’t afford that to happen.
However I am personally unsure.
I think its time to drop windows 11 and go back to windows 10.
We should declair it the last version of windows and leave it be at least for consumers.
Now those business users and corporate bastards that want their os shoved up their ass are welcome to it.
However I am a small businessman, contracter and home user just want to use my fucking computer, ie it starts and I use it and anything else can go fuck itself.
However as ai is now part of things and we are part of the borg I don’t think its possible to even try to exit the collective and also remember that I said also that its implimentation of the tech rather than the tech itself which is the issue.
Microsoft does need to get its priorities right though.
We have been here far to many times to list and this is the start of the year.
If I were microsoft I’d be at least concerned or ashamed of releasing such a buggy update.
I say this as a user of a system which is what I am most of the time.
It will be interesting what will happen in the next week as we reach the end month usual bug download preview and system fixup job.
Its not exactly all good but neither is it all bad either.
A reminder to all of you guys that I will be outside the matrix round the 12th of february, then back after a week for a week aprox then gone again, then back briefly and gone.
I have various festivals and other family things in february, march, april, mid may/ june, august, and october including 3 festivals, 1 entire family vacation, and 1 country tour with one of these festivals being outside the physical country.
