There is news out there about social media nd a trial that could possibly have implications. What those implications could be, I’m not sure, and even if there will be any that could change how things are run.

Some may have more info, but coming from KNX I found it interesting.

Hi all.
I haven’t really followed social media.
While I got twitter now x I only used it for some updates.
I do have mastodon but I have no real wish to connect with it.
There are still a few on x that update that I use.
I haven’t really interacted since msn and don’t really miss it.
Maybe when I am old and close to cilicon heaven maybe then I will interact with the matrix.
However with 2 nefews, a dieing uncle, aging parents and multiple trips on the cards not to mention a few other admin tasks I have a fucktun of stuff to do offline certainly enough to keep me from waiting to die.
But give it another 20 years or so and I will be probably shored up somewhere waiting to quit.
Maybe then.
To be honest I haven’t missed the social nets, live chats, etc that I quit as a teen.
No one is out there in the technoverse that I actually know enough to really care about.
Social companies will continue to get what they need and want.
Will they comply, maybe but they are always targets of the rule makers.
To be honest until we get laws with ai and the net this won’t change.
We have more chance of nuking ourselves than that ever happening at least right now and for the forseeable future.
It was hard enough to get the initial climate change laws activated and almost just as hard to revise them and now some of us have seen what those laws mean.
In short a lot of us are new zealand my country included finding that they are stuck into this thing to get green and mean.
The big empires like china and the us don’t give a fuck either way so we wander why we even bother.
Its probably the only thing I agree with the current guy in charge.
Its not worth complying if no one else does.
Doesn’t mean I am not sympathetic with weather events but to be honest with the enemies we have and the battles going on not to mention the extras that mr t seems to add on with his own personal grudges we may as well crashout allready!
Point is we are building energy in the core and its going up and up.
Eventually it needs to go somewhere.
There is no question of if there will or not be an explosion, its just a question of where and when, who may not even matter at this point.
Fuck, where may not even matter at this point.
We will certainly feel and hear it reguardless.
After, there will be probably some time hopefully before we have enough energy to become that bad again, maybe if enough of us are about there will be a chance to try again.
Or maybe there won’t.
Or maybe, well who knows or cares.
I am going to be 44 this year I have at the most 30-40 years available to me maybe if I am lucky 50.
Concervitively 20 to 30 with 25 in the middle.
Saying that if its already going to heck before that maybe I’ll jump before it gets to bad.
Though there is part of me that wants to be secure and watch the eruption and then see.
Of course maybe we will have something else to do.
We haven’t had anything bar ourselves to be concerned about for ages, and nothing really exciting to think about since we went to space ages back.
We hypathosise naturally but I don’t think we really know.
Even I do wander what is beyond our planet but I have no interest or ability or care to get involved with the petty drama our race seems to be in.
I have time.
