a reminder to stay safe among other things

Hi all.
Not much to report on the win11 front except that a movable taskbar will soon be back in the os.
Of course a bunch of news sites are optimistic on upgrades.
Have they forgotten how fucked up microsoft is?
Are they easilly swayed by a fucking taskbar?

No edge update though chrome updated twice this week today included.
Still no idea on firefox though 149 is at beta 15 so it must be bad.
If you have an email address on hotmail or others and don’t use it, it maybe time to check your passwords or kill it if you don’t need it.
One of my uncles, yes the one thats sick, yes the one if you are following my personal blog you will know about has just got hacked.
The message is about a sick friend, with cancer.
Fine so far, he wants an itunes gift card, again not a problem.
Its 200 dollars and he wants the code.
At this point I killed it.
Aparently his contact database has just got pulled so everyone gets the same message.
I replied I can’t and it looks like they got the message.
He has not used the mail for ages but still its scarey.
Be safe and be carefull.
Also watch out for charges on your card.
No idea how my mum got an amazon charge when none of us use it.
Well technically I do but thats for my alexa system and the last thing I got from amazon itself was ages back.
People I work for do pay me in amazon dollars which I don’t use on account of shipping.
Maybe when I have something big in there maybe then I will use it.
However there isn’t anything on amazon I can think of I want which isn’t already here to get normally or in other locations.
