I read this article titled Hackers abuse .arpa DNS and ipv6 to evade phishing defenses which i found interesting.
I know that IPV6 is relatively new, and I know I saw an IPV6 address when I personally visited What is my IP recently after I got the computer back up and running.
I would love to take this apart, but I really feel unqualified. If someone wants to do that, feel free to take this apart and post a comment. I don’t think this sounds good, based on my reading of this. Even though we may not be necessarily affected directly, IPV6 is starting to make its presence known, and you can see Google being targeted from within this article through IPV4 and 6 and you’ll see their V6 address. from within the article. But I don’t know how wide spread they are going to go with this.
I would suggest if this interests you, that you look at the article and give it a whirl.
I think I’m better off mentioning it in passing than I am trying to pull it apart.
The article again is titled Hackers abuse .arpa DNS and ipv6 to evade phishing defenses if you want to read more.
