According to the linked article as above, the canvas system owned by instructure has been hacked.
This has taken down a major student platform in new zealand but the attack was global.
The hackers have sent messages asking to be contacted to settle things.
Names, emails and personal addresses as well as private messages were aparently among the stuff stolen.
Another standard breach, really nothing to see here.
Its a concern with one of these on your doorstep though.
I’m not a student, but those effected can’t access any work, assignments or material.
Even those not hacked into can’t do any work.
The article doesn’t say who is behind this but never the less its a concern.
For myself not being a student, I better get back to my tea before it gets cold.
