Let’s get one thing straight. Meta Support, in general, has only had web-based or possibly other automated tools to assist and everyone knows this. So when I title this that support can be convinced, we aren’t talking about Human Support because as we know, time and time again, Facebook users have found it difficult to recover accounts in similar situations where something has happened.
I’m not saying for one minute that Facebook does or does not have human siupport, but I clearly hear tons of complaints through podcasts and of course articles like this one that its hard to find any type of human to deal with the support.
The problem is that you can give AI a picture and it has no way to know if it is you or not, and it just accepts it. If I had built the thing, I’d take the image and have the tool forward it to a human for visual review.
I do not have an Instagram account, and I personally don’t need one.
The article is titled Instagram users locked out after Meta AI abused to steal accounts and if you are a Meta user, this should be read because Facebook is tied to things like Instagram if you allow it to be.
I’d be a little concerned about this one and the article goes in to complete details.
