Please note, this stub will probably increase tomorrow.
I know there will be a windows patch update run tomorrow and maybe office though that was last week.
Edge updated possibly in responce to the chrome update last week.
A bunch of other things updated for printers, etc.
Firefox 253.01 is out.
Thunderbird has a esr update for the same version but not for the stable but that will appear in due course.
A lot of apps are updated which I don’t usually mention.
Please be aware that in youtube I got a message while trying to view some videos and this happens on the family samsung phones.
The message states that a pdf reader on your system is out of date.
Sadly its an add, you will need to cancel out of it several times and it will appear from time to time.
On no account do you click it.
If you do, you will load a bunch of junk on your phone.
You will be told to load bunches of apps, and then that you are hacked, etc, etc, etc.
To get out you need to hard reset with holding the power and volume down buttons for 10 seconds till the phone restarts.
You then can uninstall the all pdf documents app from the apps panel in your device.
It is disapointing google seems to be getting their cash from adds like this and I understand why adds are used but this is known as a scam and its been round for ages and ages.
It can be easilly got round but its really annoying.
I would suggest you run youtube via a brouser or use an alternitive youtube app.
Alternitly just use the pc and never watch youtube on your phone or tablet ever!
I usually don’t get angry with big corperates but this is just down right rood and insulting to users.
I understand adds are needed for non paying people, adds that can be skipped, but addware, scams and malware?
Really this is a new low for google to be honest.
Then agan I have had it where someone I was working on her system got a virus.
She took it to a place and they insisted she buy a bunch of software which did kill it.
She then loaded 100 security programs on her system.
The load of temp files was huge.
Her system was completely stuffed and almost unbootable.
I was able to remove all the antivirus and spyware related security software.
She was able to unsubscribe and get her cash back.
I was able to sort her system but it was almost a rebuild.
After reloading and setting a bunch of stuff, the system sat on a table for 2 weeks cleaning its junk files.
I’ve had the situation where I have had to completely rebuild systems due to either a fake security alert or malware and then bad advice from somewhere else.
The malware wasn’t a problem, the advice was.
There have been only a couple instances were there was a little solution.
In one of these, there was a problem but the system was able to update and the issue was gone.
In another instance the fix was also easy.
In yet another instance, in an attempt to do something simple windows decided to look really mangled.
So the user involved got advice to fix it.
The issue turned out to be faild bit of hardware.
The system was completely corrupted and needed to be rebuilt from start.
During that time however I ordered the new hardware and the system took 3 days to build.
At the time I finnished the hardware appeared so I installed and updated it and the client was happy.
Remember that even the big companies do adds these days and to watch it.
Now saying that, if you use something constantly you should probably pay for it if you can afford it.
I usually wouldn’t say this but as I said I have nothing against the companies involved but the adds themselves.
It is just one of the pains in the net sadly.
