Shiny Hunters continues to breach companies, EY is next

As we were working on the News desk for podcast 278, I found that we had broken links. Looking to fix that, I spotted this CyberNews article titled ShinyHunters claims EY breach, warns all stolen data will be released.

Like with all Shiny Hunters breaches, this one is not yet listed as confirmed, and we are still waiting to see what the exact numbers are in regards to that breach.

While we’ve not been blogging a whole lot as of late, the news desk is part of the entire show notes, so we have articles that cover them even if we don’t blog our thoughts.

Just because a group like Shiny Hunters, Clop, or any other group out there claims a breach, we can’t say its confirmed unless the company comes out and says so, or a site like Have I Been Pwned has confirmed things. You can also check Exposed or Not which does have similar information on its site, and both are listed through EMHS and our resources page.
