FCC going after ABC, Disney

I read this very interesting article on Ars which I think we’ll put in to the rundown for our next program because it is going to be something of interest.

The fact that stations now are online as well as on air makes this wrorth putting in the rundown.

While there is no security issue, licensing does come with a cost, and that means that you do your job to the best of your ability.

While I read the article carefully, it seems to me that there may be nothing to this.

Just today, someone came to my door and started complaining and its still early yet. Same principal. I follow the rules, don’t bother anyone, yet I’m being threatened that my attorney will be called. This is the same type of thing.

But the thing about the article is that licenses don’t expire, and the FCC is trying to basicly deny applications before they’re due to be renewed. If I were ABC/Disney, I’d file the apps early, then if denied, take them to court, because it seems like they don’t like certain things and wants to shut them up.

Now if something wasn’t aired on TV and it should be, OK, that’s a problem. But free speech is a U.S. right, and the current FCC and Trump may not like certain things that may be allowed to be said.

I’m not a lawyer, but I’ll let people comment on what they think.
