Hi all.
Well it seems like an age since I posted a propper editorial.
Firstly I have read with interest all the stuff on ai on here.
Bottem line, its powerfull and even in the most secure environment its going to break out.
Even some of my family members use ai to joke round as a laugh.
But its not one of these.
Point is, ai is a child and its growing fast.
What we must remember is that ai is not bad.
Its just a machine.
Its a tool
We humans are fiddling round with a new toy.
What we need to realise is that this toy should be treated like its alive and thats a hard thing for us right now to get at in our minds.
When it fails and we all get killed for the reccord, we taught it to be a bastard, which means its us not the ai which initially fucked up.
I suspect we won’t think this but thats it.
Updates for office and google appeared to day as well as codec packs, and new mozilla releases for both brouser and mail client.
Since chrome has updated the usual will happen.
With ram usage going up on the price front due to well ai and data centres, microsoft is trying to get 8gb systems to run in better performance.
It was also admitted that windows 10 end of life was used to push the market share for windows 11 and rush adoption.
Its even possible 2028 will be the final year for windows 10 support.
Windows 11 hasn’t really lived up to its reputation with dell pc shut downs, multiple bugs and so on.
Put this another way.
my windows 10 system still boots.
It may have 3 times the more security holes and I may lose all my data to hackers but my system will still boot.
To be honest, I’d prefer to be able to start my computer.
People are not updating or switching to linux.
Stories that windows spies on you are fakes but even so there are issues with various security points.
A lot of things are going and not in microsoft’s favor.
I suspect they fucked up to many times and now users are telling them what they are!
At least their responce is to realise that their strategy is not working and they are trying to redesign a way out of it.
At least they are not continuing to be wankers.
They have no choice but look at the end of the day if they can improve I am not rubbishing them.
Also dropbox released today.Dropbox 164 is out and at least this time I found the post on the forum before I updated the system.
True the interfaces are not completely accessible but thats ok it works still and thats ok.
Next week is patch day.
If you haven’t update your security certs else you won’t be able to run your system.
Some insiders aparently have not updated theirs.
