Someone sent me an email with an article entitled More than 70 cybercrime statistics – Soon to be a $6 trillion problem and it is very facinating. Mary is the person’s name and the tech blog invited her to post on the blog and contribute. I read a lot of this article, but this is better done by voice, I think. The article is very detailed and lots and lots of headings. Some may include but not limited to:
- Money in the world of cyber crime
- Botnet statistics
- Data breach statistics
- Phishing statistics
- Ransomware statistics
- Cyber crime by operating system
- Sextortion statistics
In sub headings under each tategory, the information is quite extensive with 71 different items under each category and the total number is 71 within these categories.
I want to thank Mary for sending us this email, and I’ve finally gotten a chance to read a lot of this, and will continue to study this. What we may do is cover the major highlights by going heading by heading throughout the article but there is no way this podcast can cover it all.
