I recently read an article dealing with geoblocking and IP addresses. This is a phishlabs article, and it was quite interesting at what criminals can do. Evasion Techniques: Geoblocking by IP is the article and I think it is worth the read.

Hmmm interesting article.
What does concern me though is that users use vpns to get round geo blocking as well as other things.
Some legal, some not so much.
There are also reasons for a vpn.
Almost everything can be used badly.
Hmmm and the easiest way is not always the smartest.
I do hope this does not mean we get in the situation where vpns get banned or get so full of security costs and things that we won’t have issues accessing things that we need.
Either that happens or content which is in other countries can come here maybe that would pull back on the geoblock stuff.
It does concern me that some of the stuff that the crims use we also use to as consumers.
