I had read an article from Krebs on Security some time ago about this new IRS site where people can get their information to the IRS to be able to get their payments in the United States. According to This WHIO article Stimulus checks: IRS to launch site that allows you to find out when you get yours people on SSI need to go to a page to be able to get their info to the IRS. But according to Krebs, this may become very interesting because we know that the IRS will want bank account info and other types of info to make your payment.
The April 10th article New IRS Site Could Make it Easy for Thieves to Intercept Some Stimulus Payments will be quite interesting in conjunction with the above WHIO article. I’ll be monitoring Krebs to see if this IRS site is better than the last government equiphish site, or whether they’ve not learned anything. The boards await you.
