I read an article that indicates that 55 percent of consumers say that companies should be responsible for our safety of our data. With the numerous number of breaches dating back to 2014, many millions of people were at risk starting with the 70 plus million at Target who went there to shop, to another 40 million who had email taken at the same breach. What about Equifax who didn’t make sure their software was up to date? You’re telling me that this is my problem?
I really wonder why 55 percent of consumers is linked within this article I’m going to link to, and not 100 percent? Nobody bothered to ask me, as I think if we’re signing up for services, the company has to store the info somewhere and that we have no knowledge of where it is even going.
I was going to read further, but it seems that web site has a problem and I can’t recommend people go there. Be that as it may, this has got to be the biggest question I’ve ever wondered about when I read this.
Want to read more? One Trust: Integrating Privacy & Cyber Security is where to go, and it was posted on April 15th. Its still a good article, although I question this 55 percent aspect of whatever study they got. Enjoy otherwise!
