How many of you think that your phone will replace passwords?

In two different articles, it was talked about that at some point, uyour phone will replace your common every day password.

We normally don’t lose our phones, but maybe we have tech problems with our phones. But what if passwords were able to be replaced by our phone?

Here are two articles that were sent to TSB’s list for consideration as a topic.

Both have great information, so let’s discuss whether this would be something that could happen in our future. Thanks for reading and make it a great day!

    Well personally its allready here.
So the risks, yes I can see you using your phone for 2step but yeah while you don’t lose your phones I don’t know if I’d ever store my password on my phone or my credit card I mean with the right fingerprints and ids it probably would work.
    But there are drawbacks.
Fingerprints don’t always work and for some of us blindies like myself my eyes are such that no face scanner will recognise me.
I have been at the airport where I have been pulled asside because the face scanner thinks I am well it can’t read me right.
So any face id just doesn’t work.
It means I need to go to the manual entry desk.
I guess with neirfield its happening now but who knows.
I’d still prefer either an app on mmy phone if that was it for the phone but on pc I’ll use my password even though there are issues with it.
To be honest I think there needs to be a descussion more on why you need to login to whatever the account is.

Its why I still use an offline account for windows.
Its no good when the net dies or you want to go offline and there are hacks for win11 to make that happen.
Bar cloud storage and maybe tracking everything you do, for you and your dealer there is really no need to keep mail active all the time unless you need to.
I check my eemail 3 times a day.
I check my social networks once a day.
I don’t whats app, skype or dischord.
    I don’t sms mostly.
I still use a symbian phone and later I may use a blind shell.
    I hardly post.
    I don’t miss it.
There is already to much information out there and we as a race are responsible for putting it out there.
We need to remove the complexity.
If you have a lot of chained devices then maybe I don’t.
I also don’t leave my smart tech running in the background when not using it.
In fact I leave my microphones off on the systems I have running.
