I saw something on my phone about comedian Kathy Griffin who had her account suspended by changing her account name to Elon Musk. While this might be considered bad, Elon says that unless specified that it is a parody, the old rules of allowing it are cancelled.
This might have a huge implecation on the scammers, so maybe this is a good thing and only time will tell.
People were upset on the $8 charge that people like you and I can pay to have a verified status on our accounts.
While the disability community has learned about the apparent firing of the accessibility team, something I don’t condone without proper cause, I’m hopeful that this move on impersonation will be a good thing for the platform. We’ll have to wait and see what happens with this as the changes continue.
