As published in Sans News Bites yesterday, we’ve got an arrest. The article is titled Finland’s Most-Wanted Hacker Nabbed in France and was great news for us!
I read this article before going out for an evening adventure and thought that this guy should be our complete moron of the podcast.
Apparently, the guy mentioned in the article, Julius “Zeekill” Kivimäki, has been committing crimes since he was a teen. Reminds me of the guy that attacked me, who went by little hacker Matt.

Suffice it to say, I’m bringing this up here because Little Hacker Matt, as he was known by, didn’t think the law could touch him.
I remember the investigater told me that he thinks he’s untouchable. On his 18th birthday, he was arrested and according to the book, served 11 years, or 135 months.
The article this time is titled Finland’s Most-Wanted Hacker Nabbed in France and this makes me happy.
Julius “Zeekill” Kivimäki, a 25-year-old Finnish man charged with extorting a local online psychotherapy practice and leaking therapy notes for more than 22,000 patients online, was arrested this week in France. A notorious hacker convicted of perpetrating tens of thousands of cybercrimes, Kivimäki had been in hiding since October 2022, when he failed to show up in court and Finland issued an international warrant for his arrest.
The second paragraph says:
In late October 2022, Kivimäki was charged (and “arrested in absentia,” according to the Finns) with attempting to extort money from the Vastaamo Psychotherapy Center. In that breach, which occurred in October 2020, a hacker using the handle “Ransom Man” threatened to publish patient psychotherapy notes if Vastaamo did not pay a six-figure ransom demand.
I remember reading an earlier article, and I was pretty upset at the fact that they targeted a company who was providing very specialized therapy.
The center refused to pay the ransom and that is great. I’m glad they didn’t pay the 6 figure demand, The article goes in to great detail and links to various things that were talked about in prior articles so it isn’t necessarily necessary to read the prior ones.
