This one is interesting. Spotted it on someone’s timeline that I don’t follow. Was trying to see what type of conversation one of my followers had when I decided to look at the other timeline.
This particular malware will be slow to encrypt files and several places are extinct from being decrypted.
Processes including word, wordpad, firefox and thunderbird will be terminated.
There are 11 different type s offiles that are excluded.
The article comes from Bleeping computer and is titled New Money Message ransomware demands million dollar ransoms and was written today.
There are only two companies named in their shame blog. One company makes a billion dollars, but the other company is unknown.
The encrypter will not use an extension at the end of encrypted data like others do.
They only publish if the ransom is not paid.
