10,000 characters for blue subscribers, more drama on Twitter

Saw this article titled >Twitter introduces 10,000-character-long tweets for Blue subscribers and I’m still not impressed.

With the fact that it is now known and talked about in here the fact he blocked Substack and other things, I’m still not coninced that this is going to survive.

The disabled community has completely ben eliminated from Twitter with the recent removal of tools they can use to access the service. I continue to see people say they’re leaving twitter, and sites like NPR and others have left because of Musk labeling them and causing lots of problems.

Here is that blog post talking about Substack.

While it seems like DLVR has been posting to my twitter lately, this is going to get very interesting. I don’t quite understand what’s going on over there and while reading articles like the one I link within the first paragraph, I really wonder if they’re going to figure it out.

I’ll let people decide what they’re going to do, it isn’t going to be my decision. But as Herbie has asked staff on the mix, he’s wondering what to do with that account as Twitter has made it now difficult to post about our shows.

I can surely try to post about mine, although I have it connected to DLVR, but that’s just a workaround. Twitter should allow third party access and allow disabled users to freely use applications that suit their needs.

The fact as far as we know they haven’t responded to this article attached to this blog post makes me wonder if they really care about the community they just kicked out from their platform.

At some point, I’ve got to get the rest of my accounts to Mastodon, how, I don’t know yet. But this latest article just makes me wonder. Enough said.
