10 million dollars can be yours if you can get a Russian to leave Russia

There are two articles covering this, one actually doing a better job than the other.

The first is Brian Kreb’s’s article $10M Is Yours If You Can Get This Guy to Leave Russia which was quite well done. Talks about some related stuff too, but I found it more valuable.

I at least give Cyberscoop props, but the article isn't lengthy. Russian national charged for role in stolen credit card verification scheme is their article.

I like the idea of checking to see if a card is valid, but you don’t need a service to do that, you just run a credit card like anyone else would. Oh wait, these guys want to do wrong with the card, so this is why they use these services.

I’ve always offered people the opportunity if I knew them to let me run their card by pending a dollar (which I would not take) as I can check a box to not collect the charge. If they wanted me to take the dollar, that’s fine, but I would not use it for that purpose.

It would not surprise me if this ends up as a moron of the podcast, as this guy is still wanted and I’m not even about to try and put his name out here.

Read which article you want, and make it a great day!
