Facebook still blatently violated Coppa, looks to get in more trouble

Hello everyone! Looks like Apple Insider has a doozy of an article that we’re going to start with. Its titled FTC wants Facebook to stop rolling out new services until it can guarantee user privacy.

The article talks about their agreement that was made back in 2012 and a revised order of 2020 which apparently they still violated.

The fact is, I am a firm believer that Facebook is still not a safe place to go. The article states that Facebook says that TikTok hasn’t gotten in trouble for their issues, so why is the government singling them out?

in fact, I think TikTok has it worse than Facebook. Facebook at least doesn’t embed itself within the operating system, TikTok admitted this during their issues with Congress and lawmakers.

They even have a 5.4 million dollar fine, TikTok does.

Facebook is also known for scams. I’ve experienced several although I never fell for it.

The tech experts like Kim Komando are even calling us to remove our number from Facebook, and if i’m not mistaken, they’ve had their own share of problems with securing even adult data let alone children.

You might want the tech blog search on facebook so you can find other evidence so you can make the right decision.

I’m like Kim Komando. I’d love to get rid of my account, but there is too much of a risk out there. Should’ve done it years ago.

With that said, what do you think of this latest article on them violating Copa among other things discussed in it? The boards await you and thanks for reading!
