Black Basta, part of the Fin7 group, is back and hit something bigger than capita

If we thought Capita was bad, this must be worse.

This company’s name is ABB, and they make industrial control systems otherwise known as IDS systems and works with all kinds of companies from around the world. They are Headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, which is outside of the United States for those that don’t know.

There are at least 40 U.S. based Engineering, manufacturing, and research facilities with a proven track record.

This companyworks with agencies like the department of dfense, several state and local companies, as well as it stopping operations which have since been resumed.

The article does not indicate whether a ransom was paid to Black Basta, which offers Ransomware as a service services to other operations.

This … is going to get very interesting.
