Brian Krebs posted this link to a Roiters article where the 18-year-old was found not fit to stand trial by a psyche.
I’m not going to downplay this as we don’t know what exactly this 18-year-old was tested with that deemed him unfit.
Instead, the jury will consider whether he did or didn’t comit the crime instead of guilt VS no guilt.
Brian says:
Reuters reports that Arion Kurtaj, an 18 y/o from the UK charged w/ being a leader of the Lapsus$ hacking group that stole data from Uber, fintech firm Revolut and countless other major companies, has been deemed by psychiatrists as supposedly unfit to stand trial.
Not saying this kid isn’t messed up, but there has long been a running joke in certain communities that if you live in the UK you can get away w/ virtually any cybercrimes if you are or claim to be on the spectrum.

The article is titled Teen hacked Uber, Revolut and Grand Theft Auto maker, London court hears and it should be read.
I hope that we can continue to get updates on this as we know the 17-year-old as this case has been an interesting one which we’ve covered on TSB.
We’ll keep you all informed if we see anything.
