I don’t know much about this proposal on whether it is bad, but trusted environments will be a good thing to weed out the bad on the internet.
In an article boosted by Brian Krebs, it states that there is some controversy on this new proposal that Google is probably wanting to push out without any oversite.
While we wait to see, the article is titled Google engineers want to make ad-blocking (near) impossible which was an interesting read.
Google’s moto is not to have ads blocked because they make their money that way.
Sites like mine don’t make money because I refuse to put stuff on my pages I’ve tested myself, or if it is like a facebook button or the like as part of the blog.
As told once before, stuff can be modified and can turn an entire site malicious, even if you don’t do it yourself.
I guess we’ll see what happens with this one, and I hope that we will learn more about it.
Hmmm I don’t like the idea about justt roling it out.
We are having enough issues with the local blind org doing this without oversight of its users.
Its a lot of double ups, bad info, and redoing things that are not needed.
I understand where the guys that need adds are from, but web adds, can have malware and well thats just it.
I have had to quit a lot of add supported software because of extras loading.
Then again I do understand so where possible if I use software x enough once I have the cash I will buy or use a free alternitive.
Even if I initially pirate the software to get rid of the junk in it, its always been the case if the software is not ultra high price I will eventually buy it
Now I have had to abandon some good software, go free and yes I have brought a few packages but I don’t need to many more now.
Blocking add blockers, what about spam, scams, viruses, etc.
Anything can be misused. its a dangerous road and google are one of the big companies.
If they do foul and they will, tthey have a lot to lose.
I am due to be upgrading to a blindshell2 due to various promotions so I will be using a customised android based system.
I am already on the google bandwaggon and absolutely dig it.
However at the same time I don’t know about this one
