Hello folks,
I know that places like the phone book can be searched, but Genology web site for Scotland was notified that names were searchable even though adoption stuff is done through the courts which shields names as part of proceedings.
I don’t want to say that there is a breach, but the web site seems to have had a hundred years worth of records and never had a problem.
I hope we learn more.
The article is titled Adopted children’s names were disclosed on Scotland’s People website </a.> and we should at least know about the issue.
