Guy tells me about death, finds numbers, gets booted off for harassment of others and threatening people

In August, I learned about the death of Janet Quam. Later in September, he tells me all of his stuff will be sent to him. Within the past week, he told me that he has all of my telephone numbers. Here’s that blog post where I describe my thoughts.

Two days ago, in the evening pacific time, I’m notified that this same guy is going around harassing people off the telephone line and on the telephone line.

While operators of the system don’t normally get involved, because it was happening both places, one operator did say something to him.

But he must not have cared. Of course, the parties can file their own police department reports for harassment if they wish, but I’m not personally getting involved.

Will this guy learn? Probably not. Seeing how a lot of the phone world patrons don’t care and spew out personal information like it’s candy, this is just one more incident.

Someone asked me once for someone’s number and I told them I don’t give it out without their knowledge. If my memory serves me, “They won’t know” was the response or “They won’t care” was another.

But people do care. Being braught up in a distribution list yesterday, someone mentioned their experience and how they “hung out with the wrong croud.” He says he doesn’t do that anymore, and I’m happy to hear that there are people that change.

But some people, insist that this is OK and there’s nothing wrong.

According to a WhatsApp message I got this morning, said individual who got thrown off is not too happy. Gee! I think I told him to keep his nose clean.

Have fun, man. There are plenty of lines that will allow your activity although it should be illegal just like the breaches we deal with every day. All of it should be illegal and companies and line owners should be held accountable of this type of info.

Luckily, the line I speak of, does care about personal info and harassment, that’s why there are tons of callers on it at any given time.

Make it a great day.

Chew on this for your thought for today.
