The big news coming down the pike is Comcast and a major breach of 35,000 plus folk.
It is known through podcasts like Cybercrime Radio, and I spotted it on Databreaches who links to Tech Crunch.
Reading the Tech crunch article, it is saying that it could be all of Xfinity, but makes it clear that the investigation by Comcast is still ongoing. I first saw it through Databreaches.net which may link to the same article.
The fact that they have not notified the SEC once they detected the breach back on October 25th should be a little bit concerning.
Regardless, we’re going to share with you today both articles so you can read what each publication has to say. We’re an equal opportunity sharing service.
- Comcast says hackers stole data of close to 36 million Xfinity customers comes to us from Tech Crunch. This article says that this is the CitrixBleed bug that bit them.
- Comcast Cable Communications notifies 35,879,455 consumers affected by Citrix incident comes to us from Data Breaches. It is a highlight and does have information and also links to other sources where appropriate.
Stay safe.
