Researchers hav discovered something new with QR codes. QR codes are quick response codes that are similar to a barcode that could be used on a delivery package, food package, or even something else not listed.
In an article that is written for Trip Wire by a security person I know of, the actors use these codes to get you to fill out a Google Form. Then the actor sends a form back using your information and getting you to respond to whatever it is.
Somehow, the form is changed in realtime, like you’ve made some sort of payment. Then after collecting info, they fill the form as you to get you to call and dispute the charge if you don’t recognize it.
Google Forms Used in Call-Back Phishing Scam is the article. Hope you find this of value, and thanks as always for reading!
