Medical devices are on the rise for hacking

Today’s water cooler from Kim Komando says:

?? Medical hacks on the rise: Hackers are targeting devices like MRIs, ventilators and pacemakers. Why? As hospitals improve cybersecurity, hackers see older versions of this equipment as a backdoor. Many medical devices run outdated software and are more vulnerable to hacks. Just horrifying.

We’ve talked about stories in the past where these types of devices were targeted, but it wouldn’t surprise me if this was going to increase.
