Hello folk,
Gizmodo has an article here tlking about Meta otherwise known as Facebook.
Apparently, the company is now wanting to test a new setting which is on by default which will open links within its app, and track everywhere you’ve been.
If that’s not bad enough, they’re trying to say that this is a good thing, even though they’ve apparently been doing this for years. Sure, I’ve got a share to facebook button and a share to Twitter, but even if I didn’t, people can still do it by copying the links themselves if they wish.
But this particular setting seems to go in the wrong way, some folk quoted in the article were saying.
I’m glad I don’t hardly click on links through Meta’s properties, at least i don’t on a regular basis unless its someone I know.
This is going to get very interesting.
The article is titled Meet ‘Link History,’ Facebook’s New Way to Track the Websites You Visit for those who want more information on this one.
This is going to get very interesting.
