AT&T still can’t say where 73 million records are theirs, and Have I been Pwned says 49m alledged

According to a recent article I found in the security section of Tech Crunch, they are talking about a 2021 dtabreach that apparently has come from AT&T. But Troy Hunt, owner of Have I Been Pwned says that the tech giant still can’t say whether its theirs and several customers have indicated that the data shared with them was shared.

While the article is only several days old, this is a little concerning. We understand mistakes are made, and breaches are going to occur. But you can’t tell me that by now, we don’t know where those records have come from. Three years later.

Have I Benen Pwned has the alledged AT&T item third in its updated recent breaches list. We’ll just have to continue to push forward.
The Tech Crunch article is titled AT&T won’t say how its customers’ data spilled online is the article.

Good luck, AT&T! You have a lot to explain.
