Hmmm usually tvs update themselves.
I doubt most know how to update their tvs.
I know the modern tvs and stereos I have are update ready but I don’t generally update them unless I need to.
At least a lot of the newer stuff from routers to extenders to other devices has automatic dial home updates on them and unless you have an issue with that I would reccomend you do turn these on and check back every so often.
