Man may get 30 years for identity theft

Spanning 35 years, a Wisconsin man took the identity of a former co-worker he once worked with. When the co-worker filed a complaint in 2019, the judge ordered him on medication and ordered him to use his real name in the future which didn’t make sense as he was the real victim in the case.

After some investigation, the perpetrator was found out and pleaded guilty.

Identity theft spanning 35 years ends with guilty plea is the article.

Matthew, have fun explaining that to yoour children you used the victim’s name on too.

  1. Allways fills my heart with joy when they catch people that does id theft.
I don’t understand the thrill I guess if you were wanted and were on the run but even so.
Stealing an identity is really low.
Worse, those effected well after a lot of that stuff sticks to you then it sticks to you.
There are enough stories out there of people being mixed up with whatever that its hard to clear out.
In one case, A chriminal was mixed with another because they were almost exactly the same.
They can never remove that so the other one has a reccord note on their reccord saying its a duplicate.
Pritty much even if they get their id back its completely destoryed.
They will never get their lives back again.
And thats in western countries in other areas they will have to be carefull what they do for as long as they live which may not be that long.
Its good another sucker is in the slammer but there are more of those you can be sure of that.
