Its been a slow day today, as I wanted to do other things, and not having the energy to do them. But now, I’m up and having energy to go ahead and do some more writing.
On today’s article, we are learning about the fact that Advance Auto Parts is confirming what was in the article dealing with Ticketmaster.
The information that was potentially pilfered include but may not be limited to:
- • 380 million customer profiles (name, email, mobile, phone, address, and more)
- • 140 million customer orders
- • 44 million Loyalty / Gas card numbers (with customer details)
- • Auto parts/part numbers
- • Sales history
- • Employment candidate info with SSNs, driver’s license numbers, and demographic details
- • Transaction tender details
The actors are claiming that they took 358,000 employees, but they only have something like 68,000 employees. The numbers are in the article, so if I have it wrong, the article has them.
The fact that Snowflake came out with IOCS should not be surprising, and we know that they are not the only provider targeted.
Even places we know like Dropbox have been targeted, and some data could’ve left in certain circumstances.
Bleeping computer did confirm that they were able to confirm some data.
To read more, please read the article: Advance Auto Parts stolen data for sale after Snowflake attack so please read it if you are using this store.
They’re advertised all over the place. Please pass this along. We all can work together, and together we can teach each other on what’s out there so we can protect each other.
