Hello gang,
I’ve been sitting on this article, and I’ve decided on how i want to present it. So … here goes.
What type of group are police using AI to trick?
In an article which will be linked, the answer is pedophiles. They are being tricked by police who are testing whether having AI picutres of younger people, even potential officers to lure them in to meeting the people and eventually get arrested.
Is it ethical? I’m not one to say.
But more importantly, which social media platform is being targeted as the worse one for allowing this type of material known as CSAM?
The next question is which state was responsible for this research?
The first answer is SnapChat. Because pictures disappear as soon as they’re viewed, its easy to just share tons of these things and be able to get away with it.
The second answer is New Mexico. They sued Snapchat on allowing this type of behavior on their platform.
The article is 3 pages and is titled Cops lure pedophiles with AI pics of teen girl. Ethical triumph or new disaster? if you want to read it.
