How many Android applications are known to be using something to steal Crypto currency?

Hello folks,

This question is going to probably trick some people, but I’ve thought of how to ask it to get your attention. How many Android applications are known to be using something to steal Crypto currency?

We know that apps have done some crazy shit, especially on the Android side, but this might be something completely different.

This is because not too many people may know the method, yet the method is used by this community in various circumstances to do various types of things like reading and identifying things.

So, you’re probably asking, what is it already?

Its OCR. The same OCR that we disabled users get information from print, or even to recognize items like labels and other things through new tools which we’ve talked about.

So, what’s wrong with OCR now?

Nothing, if you use it for the purposes you use it for. If you use it to recognize images that contain information for your Crypto Currency, then you’re probably going to be screwed.

Why 280 apps? I have no idea, but Android is completely open, and this is probably no surprise.

The ars Technica article is titled Found: 280 Android apps that use OCR to steal cryptocurrency credentials is the article.

Have you heard of this being done? I haven’t, and this is going to be a concern if you deal with Crypto.

Invest wisely and be safe.
