I’ve never heard of this software, but that’s OK. There are lots of software that we may not know about. Clop is really pushing their luck, especially with the history they’ve had since 2019 and the numerous companies and software they’ve breached.
One of the things that they’re telling Bleeping Computer is that they’re deleting all companies that were exploited through Cleo and only working with new ones.
I call Bull Shit, and I think Bleeping Computer is too, although they won’t write that because of the nature of their publication.

Clop did not confirm or deny whether they were possibly affiliated with a new group called Termite which we talked about once on this blog.
If you remember the Move It file transfer software issues we covered throughout the network, we know that they took responsibility of that too. That had all kinds of coverage and we were all over it too.
This article covers the history of Clop and their aliases and their history.
Clop ransomware claims responsibility for Cleo data theft attacks is the latest on this with Cleo.
Related news, Cleo patches critical zero-day exploited in data theft attacks was also found on Bleeping. I’m not going to read that one because as you’ll find out in the updated article we’ve linked to, it doesn’t fix the overall problem and its still being exploited.
I guess we’ll see what else happens.
