I’ve been a dedicated Skype user for many reasons with my public telephone number all over the place. According to lower than other customers and further reduction if using >50GB/mo, due to da this may be coming to an end in favor of other subscriptions.
If they decide to kill telephone numbers completely, I’ll have to find other ways of getting people on the air which some don’t use.
I don’t know what they’re thinking. The telephone number is a quarterly subscription, and I’m also paying for an unlimited subscription to call U.S. telephone numbers.
You can’t call anyone without a valid telephone number these days. Even though people may not answer the phone, if you leave the same telephone number asyou’re calling from, it leads to validity of trust.
From the article, it states that you can’t top up your credit, nor can you buy new telephone numbers.
They’ve removed ads from Skype, not that I was clicking on them anyway.
While I understand they’re trying to stay revelent, Microsoft is a large company, and this decision is not a great one, even for a few who care about privacy and the fact that they have a number that is trusted. Especially the number I have, its been active for years.I’ve been paying for it for years too.
We’ll just have to see what happens here. I hope it continues to stay.
