Microsoft can still get screenshots of credit card, SSN and other personal info

Hello gang,

I know I’m still a week behind, but I am looking for things that might still be revelent and found this interesting article on Microsoft’s Recall since the time we and other blasted the company for its lacluster behavior on this feature.

This comes from Tom’s Hardware, and while I don’t read what they publish regularly, I did question the article in question. This one seems more legitimate, because its got screenshots and a full explanation on what’s going on.

If this article is true, we’re no better off than we were before. The difference is, now someone can’t just open the database of Microsoft Recall, but it still takes screen shots of sensitive info like in the notepad document which I’m using to write up this blog post.

So in theory, I could put out my credit card number which I won’t do, and if I were on the right setup, it would capture it.

Can someone tell me if this is just absolutely still as bad as it was in June?

Here is what I’ve covered about Recall in the past.

I guess we’ll see how this is going to improve over time, but I just smell tons of trouble with this.

Thoughts? Sound off in the comments.

Microsoft Recall screenshots credit cards and Social Security numbers, even with the “sensitive information” filter enabled is the article.
